Back Office Integration

Our development team combines close to 60 years of experience since the mid 1990's working with virtually every commercial database system on the market today.

Our current processes interact with a wide range of databases interacting with Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sybase, IBM DB2, Access and File Maker Pro. This includes a variety of 3rd party back office products our customers use as well. Interactions with these databases currently include a mix of Web Services, FTP, SMTP, XML and Remote Connection.

Our most common request for back office integration is to support 3rd party products in which supports a job creation or job assignment module to it.

The product either pushes us the assignments or Westlake extracts them as they are created. Jobs are pushed out to the denoted handsets of the workers; jobs are then selected by the worker from a pick list. The worker completes a wireless form (job accepted, job started, parts used, before and after photo, bar code scanning, GPS tracking, was the work completed or not) and pushes the collected data back to AIRmobility®. Data is then pushed back into the original job assignment system to update the record.

This type of two-way communication between a 3rd party product and the workers on their handset supports increased productivity, better tracking of management, better work load balancing and the ability to invoice customers faster for work completed. Lost or illegible paperwork is eliminated. Double entry of data (once on paper then into the 3rd party product) is now cut down to only one. Errors in billable hours; both to customers and to employee payroll are reduced, etc.

Integration costs range from no cost if the 3rd party product or customer wishes to interact with our web services directly from having Westlake build the interactive bridge. This one time cost can be as little as $1000.00 to as much as $25,000.00 depending on the amount of data and complexity of gaining access to it.

If you have a project in which a back office integration solution would be beneficial to your organization, please complete our Needs Assessment form or Contact Us with your needs.
